What you will do:

Aerzen is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biogas Business Development Manager to drive growth within the growing biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG) sectors. This strategic role will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, and positioning Aerzen as the preferred partner for blower and compressor solutions in biogas applications.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the biogas value chain, from anaerobic digestion to gas upgrading and injection, and have a proven track record of successful business development in this market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis & Strategy:
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and new business opportunities within the biogas, RNG, and related renewable energy sectors.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand Aerzen's market share in biogas.
  • Identify target customers, including project developers, EPC contractors, integrators, engineering firms, and end-users in the biogas industry.
  • New Business Development & Sales:
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new sales leads and project opportunities for Aerzen's blower and compressor solutions in biogas applications.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and tailored solutions that address customer needs and challenges.
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Collaborate closely with Aerzen's sales, engineering, and product management teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers, industry partners, associations, and influencers in the biogas ecosystem.
  • Represent Aerzen at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing expert guidance on Aerzen technologies and their application in biogas processes.
  • Technical Expertise & Product Knowledge:
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Aerzen's product portfolio relevant to biogas applications (e.g., blowers for gas transfer, compressors for gas upgrading/injection, specialized sealing systems).
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and regulatory changes impacting the biogas industry.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Reporting & Forecasting:
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, market intelligence, and pipeline updates to management.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities.
Requirements

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental), Business Administration, or a related field.

* 5+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or project management within the biogas, renewable natural gas (RNG), waste-to-energy, or related industrial gas sectors.

* Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and building a robust project pipeline.

* In-depth knowledge of biogas production processes (anaerobic digestion), gas upgrading technologies (e.g., PSA, membrane, cryogenics), and gas compression/injection systems.

* Strong understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, and incentives for biogas/RNG.

* Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

* Willingness to travel frequently [Specify percentage, e.g., 50-75%] within the assigned territory and internationally as required.

* Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
