Job Summary: Fraud Investigations Associates are responsible for assisting in the monitoring of and the investigation with customers pertaining to fraudulent activity, providing Minnwest Bank customers with a professional and courteous knockout experience when dealing with suspicious activity. Fraud Associates execute required actions to resolve customer issues and ensure risk mitigation, working to recover losses and

maintain adequate controls. Must be professional, welcoming, and responsible through all communication channels.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):



  • Monitor and track daily systems for suspicious activity
  • Contact customers directly to ascertain validity of activity and gather relevant information
  • Execute appropriate actions in bank systems. Actions may include, but are not limited to, completing required documentation for ACH/Wire Transfer and Check transactions with customers and third parties, working through fraud cases, changing status of debit cards or ordering new debit cards, and restricting online activity.
  • Assist in monitoring of fraud reports, daily core system activity logs, internet banking and exception reports.
  • Utilize necessary security procedures to properly identify customers
  • Complete customer correspondence and all follow-up in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned and backup duties as needed


Minimum Requirements:



  • High school diploma
  • 3+ years of customer service experience
  • 1 - 2 years of banking experience (fraud, internal audit or risk and compliance areas strongly preferred)
  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Office suite products - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Working knowledge of bank operation processes
  • Knowledge of FiServ Premier application
  • Knowledge of or experience with UCC regulation and Regulation E


Schedule: Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Workplace Environment:



  • Requires face-to-face interaction and coordination of work with other employees and departments, and in-person interaction.
  • Working at a computer and utilizing a telephone
  • Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs
  • May involve traveling for training or meetings


Pay Range: $24.80 - $30.15 hourly

The pay range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. The salary range represents anticipated base pay for this role. The actual pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on factors including but not limited to work location, candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
