Job Summary

The QA/QC Technician II supports and enforces project-specific Quality Control programs throughout all phases of construction. This role conducts inspections of materials, installations, and work processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. It also captures and analyzes quality data, identifies deviations, and recommends improvements to enhance reliability and performance. The Technician works closely with project teams to uphold safety and quality standards from project start to completion.


Essential Duties

  • Performs Quality Assurance role on all assigned job sites/projects, including quality walks, conducting inspections, validating work per plans/specs, creating and maintaining punch list, coordinating field testing.
  • Schedules and observes field testing of complete systems as part of an overall quality control effort.
  • Reviews plans and specifications to ensure what is installed matches what is contained in the plan.
  • Proactively collaborates between the office and field to prevent any unexpected quality issues.
  • Establishes and upholds effective methodologies for gathering quality data throughout projects.
  • Provides project leadership with installation recommendations based on industry best practices.
  • Prepares for and helps coordinate for commissioning on-site systems.
  • Supports field process improvements on all assigned job sites/projects, to eliminate waste and reduce costs. Promotes Lean concepts and functions as an effective change agent throughout the organization.
  • Participates in activities on assigned job sites/projects such as MISOPS, planning, installation, materials management, coordination, and pre-fabrication opportunities.
  • Actively engages in Root Cause Analysis to identify issues, determine corrective actions, and analyze quality data for trends on all assigned job sites/projects.

Minimum Requirements

High School or GED is required.
A Bachelor's Degree in Quality Assurance or a related field is preferred.

Minimum of 2-4 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in the commercial mechanical and plumbing industry.

Demonstrated expertise in quality assurance methodologies and standards.
Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
