Position Description
Expected to learn and become proficient with FGD, Reagent Prep, Gypsum De-watering, Industrial Wastewater Treatment operations and other environmental process chemistry within a coal-fired generating station. Identifies and executes opportunities to improve process systems. Troubleshoots and resolves chronic problems caused by FGD, WWT and other environmental process chemistry issues by conducting experiments, collecting data and analyzing results.
Essential Job Tasks:
Provides technical and analytical advice to internal and external stakeholders on the physical, biological, and chemical processes to maximize FGD, WWT and other environmental process operation efficiency and meet permit requirements; monitors and analyzes process lab data, operator logs, lab reports and chemical usage data. Monitors, troubleshoots and resolves chronic problems caused by FGD, WWT and other environmental chemistry issues by collecting data, conducting experiments and analyzing results. Evaluates, develops and revises process procedures as needed and develops short and long term optimization plans. Identifies and executes opportunities to improve process systems in the FGD, WWT and other environmental process areas. May assist with providing or performing occasional capital or construction engineering services. Provide effective technical communications in and across departments by attendance of meetings and presentations, preparation and submittal of reports, and other correspondence as required. Provide administrative departmental assistance including procurement of materials and services, work identification and planning, budget preparation and reporting, training and development of employees, and safety and operational procedural updates.

Sr. Engineer
Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited school +8 years related experience required. Will consider other engineering disciplines for candidates with relative experience. Professional Engineering License required.
Compensation Information:
$102,560 - $128,200 (min. - mid.)
Engineer III
Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited school +5 years related experience required. Will consider other engineering disciplines for candidates with relative experience. FE/EIT License required.
Compensation Information:
$91,990 - $114,990 (min. - mid.)
Engineer II
Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited school +2 years related experience required. Will consider other engineering disciplines for candidates with relative experience. FE/EIT License preferred.
Compensation Information:
$82,520 - $103,140 (min. - mid.)
Engineer I
Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited required. FE/EIT License preferred.
Compensation Information:
$74,010 - $92,500 (min. - mid)
