A Day In The Life The Marketing Specialist will support the implementation and maintenance of all marketing activities nationwide. Specific areas of responsibility include advertising and collateral development, conference/trade show planning and execution, promotions, media planning, database management, publications, internal sales communications, brand development and implementation and proposal writing. The Specialist will assist in the creation of GSFS Group marketing materials and ensures company-wide adoption of all brand standards. Developing innovative online and offline marketing programs using new techniques is key to this role.
As a Specialist, Marketing you will:
- Corporate Website - actively participates with site planning, the development of content and editing; make regular updates and collect analytics for reporting *
- Proactively promote a consistence voice across all channels including but not limited too social, web and marketing campaigns *
- Research and utilize case studies, articles and press releases to effectively promote the creation of GSFS's voice. This includes content collection from Subject Matter Experts and document drafts *
- Collaborate with Marketing Manager and Product Owners in the planning and execution of projects such as product launches, by engaging in project management activities, content collection, document creation, printing, as well as, associated marketing materials, social campaigns and website updates * Support the sales team by fulfilling requests for marketing materials, conducting competitive analysis research and answering marketing questions, along with other needs *
- Promote the brand at tradeshows by advising, planning and fulfilling show needs, brainstorming and researching differentiators and new ideas, coordination of printing/ordering/travel/shipping/etc. *
- Promote the internal brand and culture by helping with office branding efforts, companywide engagement initiatives and spreading the message of positivity and growth *
- Lead various integrated communication and marketing activities *
- Creates flyers for sales incentives and training classes *
- Oversees and Edits formatting/layout work for marketing materials *
- Develops cost comparison analysis for all merchandise and purchases *
- Creates, maintains, and tracks current merchandise availability and usage. Maintains the merchandise storage room, reorders merchandise and supplies for the Sale, Training and Marketing Departments *
- Requests purchase order numbers for all merchandise; works in the Microsoft AX system to ensure orders are submitted, approved and paid in accordance with company guidelines and oversees the distribution and shipment of all marketing materials *
- Performs other duties tasks as assigned
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field Req
- 1-3 years experience; and/or equivalent combination of education/experience Required
- Graphic Design/Desktop Publishing skills required.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take lead in projects and attain results with minimal guidance.
- Ability to apply common sense.
Physical Requirements The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
