Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic, highly organized, and proactive Manager of Executive Operations to support our C-suite and drive operational excellence across the organization. This role will serve as a trusted advisor, project manager, and liaison between executive leadership and internal/external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in coordinating board meetings, managing cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring alignment on strategic priorities.
Lawyers across the country trust the American Bar Endowment (ABE) to help protect their families and firms. We sponsor quality group insurance products, exclusively for Bar Association Members. ABE-sponsored insurance is designed to generate dividends, which Bar Association Members can choose to donate to ABE. These contributions help fund research, educational, and public service projects of importance to the public and the profession.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support & Strategic Alignment
- Partner closely with the CEO and COO to streamline decision-making and ensure alignment across departments
- Prepare executive briefings, presentations, and reports for internal and external audiences
- Act as a sounding board and thought partner to executives on key initiatives
Board Meeting Coordination
- Lead the planning and execution of board meetings, including agenda development, materials preparation, logistics, and follow-up
- Liaise with board members and executive assistants to ensure seamless communication and scheduling
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive board-level information
Project Management & Special Initiatives
- Drive strategic projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder engagement
- Monitor progress on key initiatives and provide regular updates to executive leadership
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, risks, and dependencies across projects
Operational Excellence
- Improve internal processes and workflows to enhance executive productivity
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication
- Support change management efforts and organizational development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of experience in a strategic, operational, or executive support role
- Proven experience working with senior executives and/or board members
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in business tools and software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, CRM, project management tools)
- High level of discretion and professionalism

Estimated Hiring Range
At the ABE, we consider skills, organizational needs, and experience in our compensation approach. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 and includes full benefits.
