Description
JOB PURPOSE: The Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment within the shelter facility. This role includes custodial duties, basic maintenance, and support for day-to-day facility operations. The Porter helps ensure that the shelter remains a welcoming, dignified space for residents and staff by upholding high standards of cleanliness and safety. Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. EXPERIENCE: 4 months to 1 year of experience as a custodial/housekeeper/porter. Prior custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience strongly preferred. ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion. LICENSES: Driver's License with clear record. VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice. WORK LOCATION: In Person OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others. Must be 21 years or older.Eligible to receive, pass, and maintain security investigation background checks - initiated by the National Background Investigations Bureau.
