Description
JOB PURPOSE: The Housing Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing community outreach strategies, building partnerships with landlords. Housing Coordinator actively engages in landlord outreach, recruitment, and education to expand access to affordable and permanent housing. This position provides direct client services, assisting participants throughout the housing process-from orientation and housing search to move-in and post-placement support. The Housing Coordinator works closely with realtors, property owners, and managers to advocate for clients, and sustain long-term housing placements. Responsibilities also include educating stakeholders on available subsidies, security deposit assistance, the benefits of a single point of contact, and the program's high housing retention rate. Work is performed in both shelter and field settings, including outreach in the community and visits to current or prospective housing units. The Housing Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting participants' self-sufficiency, community integration, and long-term housing stability. Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree and/or a minimum of two-year degree in Human Services related field or an equivalent amount of experience in the Human Services or Business field is required in lieu of degree. Real Estate license is a plus. EXPERIENCE: 2 years' experience in Human Services or Business field. Experience in "Housing First" philosophy and strategies, tenant's rights and responsibilities as well as "strength based" case management, is a plus. ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion. LICENSES: Driver's License with clear record. VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice. WORK LOCATION: In-Person OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
