Join Our Team as a Business Controller at Epiroc!

The Business Line Controller for IAB serves as the Strategic Finance Partner to the Vice President of the Business Line, ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and effective decision support. This role provides full financial oversight of the business line, balancing strategic guidance with operational execution to drive profitability, efficiency, and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities



  • Act as the Strategic Finance Partner to the VP, Business Line IAB, providing insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations to shape strategy and execution.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for the business line, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with area and group objectives.
  • Oversee P&L accountability for the business line, ensuring profitability, cost control, and margin optimization.
  • Partner with sales, operations, and supply chain leaders to analyze performance, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with Epiroc's internal control framework, group policies, IFRS, and local regulations.
  • Support capital investment decisions, pricing strategies, and product portfolio profitability analysis.
  • Provide financial leadership in acquisitions, integrations, and divestments affecting the business line.
  • Champion financial digitalization and efficiency improvements through ERP/BI systems and analytics.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor finance team members within the business line, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the business line in cross-functional reviews, audits, and strategic initiatives.



Knowledge/Education:



  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive finance/business control experience, ideally within a global, matrixed organization.
  • Strong background in P&L management, planning, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, and risk management.
  • Proven experience supporting business operations (sales, supply chain, production).
  • Advanced analytical skills with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to influence across functions.
  • Tech-savvy, with experience in ERP, BI, and financial digitalization projects.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).



Travel



  • Expected travel: Up to 25-40%, depending on business needs.



The salary for this position is between $190,000 and $210,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards.
