The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services. This role involves working closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and other departments to ensure that procurement activities are conducted efficiently and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational needs.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong supplier relationships.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing fluctuations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement requirements and provide support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Experience with procurement software and tools.
  • Relevant certifications such as CPPB, CPPO, or CPSM are a plus.

Security Clearance Level Required:
  • Active Secret Clearance required. Top Secret/SCI highly desired.
  • U.S. Citizenship is also required for this position.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $85K/year to $125K/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
