As a
Senior Systems Engineer with MTSI, you will provide technical support for life cycle management, to include system acquisition, development, integration, deployment, operations, and sustainment of a high priority weapon system. The position requires working knowledge of program planning, execution management, and integration of complex programs and systems. Must have relevant experience in requirement development, management and verification, and program office support.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Supporting program leadership and leading end-to-end systems engineering and mission-critical program execution efforts;
- Providing systems engineering support, including mission, architecture and system performance analysis;
- Requirement management, verification, and validation;
- System integration support;
- Trade study analysis;
- Configuration management and oversight of change control processes and documentation;
- Deficiency reporting and tracking;
- Risk management;
- Interface control management;
- Providing program engineering support, including contractor performance tracking, milestone planning, briefing preparation, staff coordination, and decision document preparation;
- Supporting documentation development, including development and review of Request for Proposals(RFPs), Statements of Objectives (SOO), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Statements of Work(SOW);
- Advocate for the program and garner leadership approval.
Requirements:
- 15+ years' experience with DoD and/or USAF systems engineering processes/procedures and the acquisition life cycle of weapon systems
- Experience supporting ACAT-I acquisition programs
- Experience with programs requiring enhanced security measures
Desired Requirements:
- Experience in microelectronics or semiconductor fabrication and/or multi-disciplinary technical background in systems engineering
- Experience with Jira, DOORS, and other systems engineering software solutions
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- 2+ years' HAF and/or MAJCOM staff experience
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university - Required
- Technical Master's degree - Desired
- Current or prior systems engineering and/or program management certifications (e.g., DAWIA PM/ Eng Level III, PMP, CSEP)-Desired
Clearance Requirements:
- TS/SCI with previous SAP experience required.
