MTSI is seeking a
Maintenance Training Device Systems Engineer to support an advanced air platform program. In this role, you will apply your expertise to develop, integrate, and sustain maintenance training systems that ensure readiness and enhance the operational capabilities of advanced air platform systems.
Responsibilities:
- Training Device Design and Integration:
- Support the design, integration, and testing of maintenance training devices for advanced air platforms.
- Ensure systems meet technical performance requirements by analyzing system specifications, mission requirements, and operational contexts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate engineering solutions are applied to maintenance training device capabilities.
- Systems Engineering Activities:
- Perform systems engineering tasks for hardware and software integration, interface design, requirements analysis, and system verification.
- Use best practices to develop training device architectures, workflows, and designs tailored to maintenance training use cases.
- Manage configuration control and technical documentation for system designs and upgrades.
- Technical Analysis and Problem Solving:
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues during system development and sustainment activities.
- Provide recommendations for system improvements based on performance analysis and operational feedback.
- Implement technical solutions to meet emerging training requirements, ensuring continued system relevance for the warfighter.
- Customer Collaboration and Reporting:
- Serve as the technical liaison between internal teams, government customers, and external contractors supporting training device development and sustainment efforts.
- Prepare and deliver briefings, documentation, and technical assessments for customers and leadership.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, computer science, physics, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of systems engineering experience supporting training devices, maintenance platforms, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with advanced air platform systems, technologies, and operational maintenance concepts.
- Knowledge of systems integration practices, including hardware/software development, interface design, and testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.
Desired
- 12+ years of systems engineering experience supporting training devices, maintenance platforms, or similar systems.
- Certification in systems engineering, such as INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP).
- Project management certifications, including PMP (Project Management Professional).
- Experience with training device-specific tools and platforms, including simulation systems or augmented reality solutions.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and sustainment requirements.
