GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Logistics Program Manager is accountable for all aspects of the US Marine Corps (USMC) Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) program. The Logistics Program Manager interfaces with Program Management and key customers with respect to Depot Level Source of Repair, supply support, IUID tracking, warranty reporting, facility operations, packaging, handling, storage, transportation, contract data requirement list (CDRL) generation and delivery and oversight for the logistics personnel supporting the operational Inventory Control Point (ICP).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Provide program guidance and oversight for all of the logistics elements required by customer contracts by participating in weekly reviews with the Program Manager (PM), interaction with Engineering and Manufacturing organizations, and the management of logistics personnel on site and at deployed locations.
  • Directs all depot maintenance and repair activity internally and externally based on customer requirements.
  • May supervise logistics element by providing oversight and direction to logistics personnel regarding repair tracking activities, weekly reviews with the Program Manager (PM), inventory reports and database population.
  • May oversee subcontractors for ILS in specific programs.
  • Evaluates the cost of repairs and disposition based on the contract terms.
  • Coordinates with Logistics support, Engineering and Program Management regarding repairs, costs and schedule.
  • Serves as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for the customer in all ILS related matters.
  • Oversees the provision and maintenance of tools, support equipment, and test/measurement equipment within manufacturer inspection/calibration requirements.
  • Ensures accurate and timely data is collected and reported to the customer and to Program Management concerning progress and status of ILS operations.
  • Analyzes data and prepares metrics.
  • Provides oversight and guidance for planning, coordination, packaging, handling, shipping/receiving and trucking to/from contract performance locations.
  • Provides oversight and guidance for support equipment, spares, consumables, supplies, repairs, maintenance, tooling, and fuel needed to complete off-site performance activities
  • Provides oversight for all warehouse activity as related to ILS efforts, and monitors/audits operations for compliance to procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Works with Property and Inventory Analysts to ensure GFE/GFP material storage and handling meet all DCMA approved property management procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Act as the primary contractor interface with the customer in support of Logistics Integrated Product Team (IPT) telecoms, Program Management Reviews (PMR) and related logistics studies and activities.
  • Interfaces with employees as required to ensure acceptable level of Logistics Support is provided.
  • Communicates with subcontractors, and military customer(s).
  • Responsible for standing up off site depot support facilities and/or Inventory Control Point operations as required by contract.
  • May be required to develop Work Breakdown Structures, Integrated Master Schedules, and lead proposal development teams.
  • Responsible for managing program specific ILS budget, working closely with Program Manager to ensure accurate accounting.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:



  • Will be required to supervise subordinate logistics program managers, specialists and contractors as program matures.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be effective at alliance building and creating a positive team spirit, both within his/her department and the rest of the company.
  • Flexibility to handle changing requirements and prioritize in a dynamic environment.


  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little guidance, anticipating next steps, taking initiative, exercising discretion and sound judgment, and working collaboratively as a leader and a member of the team.


  • Experience/knowledge/understanding of the ILS planning elements.
  • Demonstrated experience with the principles of US Government Property Management practices and standards.
  • Demonstrated abilities to plan and prioritize work assignments in a matrix environment utilizing personnel on site and at deployed locations.
  • Superior organization and communication skills are critical.



COMPENSATION: $130,000 - $160,000

Required:



  • Previous experience as an Integrated Logistics Support Manager and/or Program Manager on US Navy or US Marine Corps program strongly desired.
  • Bacheloris Degree in Business or related field required; minimum of 7 years experience in the Logistics field.
  • Will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship)



Preferred:



  • Previous logistics experience with department of defense logistics support, fielding activity or operations support preferred.
  • Previous experience supervising employees, performance management, goal setting and accountability are required.



WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Office and or manufacturing environment.
  • May work extended hours or weekends to complete tasks and meet schedule.
  • Ability to travel infrequently primarily to domestic locations in the US.
  • May work in manufacturing and/or field environments with potential exposure to uncontrolled climate conditions and potential exposure to noise, dust and hazardous chemicals.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (computer work, phones, writing).
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds in accordance with KUAS General Safety Training guidelines.



TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:



  • 10-25% May be required between KUAS locations and vendor sites.
