Hardware Configuration Management Analyst
Overview SCCI is seeking aConfiguration Management (CM) Analyst to join our team insupport of a Rapid Acquisition Weapon System Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing configuration management support across all functional areas based on program requirements. This position will be located in Dahlgren, VA. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the BMS Hardware CM Lead to ensure rigorous tracking of hardware versioning
- Apply knowledge of CM best practices to ensure all BMS hardware builds are conducted in accordance with documented procedures
- Assist with maintaining engineering drawings, preparing technical data packages and associated files in the Product Data Management (PDM) Vault
- Apply knowledge of acquisition life-cycle processes
- Prepare, post, and track hardware file deliveries and associated documentation via various delivery methods
- Participate in continued BMS process improvement meetings including but not limited to hardware development, CM, and BMS Configuration Control Boards
- Participate in CM review and quality control of BMS documentation
- Adapt to changing technologies, processes, and organizational requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an activeSecret Security Clearance
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a technical discipline, OR four (4) to five (5) full-time professional experience working in Configuration Managementacross all functional areas of CM including Configuration and Baseline Identification, Change Control, Audits, Release Management and Status Accounting
- Knowledge of and experience working in a rapid development and acquisition process
- Ability to interface professionally with other government, contractor, and military organizations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a group, to meet established goals and schedules
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- One (1) year of which must demonstrate experience with systems engineering and work management tools such as Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), Atlassian Jira, and/or SolidWorks Enterprise Product Data Management (PDM)
- Self-starter with strong technical skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of CM Industry Standards, Military Standards, and drafting experience is desired
