What You'll Do Customer Relationship & Communication
* Build trusted relationships with customers at all levels. * Proactively manage communications through emails, reports, and direct outreach to ensure smooth order placement. * Maintain accurate customer profiles in our centralized database. * Partner with Finance to resolve billing issues and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). Order & Demand Management * Monitor and manage customer orders, coordinating with demand planning and supply chain teams to meet delivery expectations. * Support forecasting and inventory tracking to ensure product availability. * Collaborate with Engineering to identify alternative product solutions when needed. Sales Enablement & Performance Monitoring * Assist the sales team in identifying and capturing new business opportunities. * Represent the company at trade shows and industry events. * Track and analyze sales bookings, billings, and backlog to optimize performance. Product & Market Expertise * Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity. * Develop product knowledge in Motion Control, Drives, and Machine Tool systems to provide tailored recommendations. Quoting & Pricing * Prepare accurate quotes using product literature and selection guides. * Coordinate with internal teams for special pricing on custom or high-volume orders. Process Improvement * Identify and implement process enhancements. * Help develop and update work instructions to improve operational efficiency. What You Bring Must-Haves * 2+ years of experience in sales support or account management within the manufacturing industry. * Proven ability to work cross-functionally and with international customers. * Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems. Nice-to-Haves * Knowledge of harmonized codes and international shipping requirements (training available). * Japanese language skills are a plus for collaboration with our Yaskawa Japan team.
