Job Summary

TDIndustries is seeking a motivated Construction Operations Intern to support our project management and field teams. This hybrid role offers exposure to both office and field operations, giving the intern hands-on experience in project coordination, jobsite management, and overall construction workflow. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, organized, and ready to jump in wherever needed to help keep projects moving.

Location: Houston, TX

Dates: June 1st - August 7th, 2026 (10 weeks)


Essential Duties

Project Management Support
  • Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and tracking project timelines and deliverables.

  • Help prepare and distribute project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and progress reports.

  • Support procurement efforts by coordinating material orders, vendor communication, and delivery follow-ups.

  • Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to identify scope, materials, and required resources.

Field / Superintendent Support
  • Participate in jobsite walks to observe progress, document site conditions, and assist with field reporting and daily logs.

  • Help ensure site safety practices are being followed by assisting with safety audits, toolbox talks, and compliance documentation.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors to track progress, clarify questions, and support daily planning activities.

  • Assist with quality control checks, punch lists, and project close-out tasks.

Operations & Administrative Support
  • Help maintain project files, tracking logs, and operational spreadsheets.
  • Support project budgeting and cost tracking activities under supervision.
  • Assist with coordinating internal resources, scheduling meetings, and preparing project presentations or reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Previous internship or experience in project management or related fields is preferred but not required.
