The SNAP Employment and Training program works with individuals to develop employment skills, empowering them to improve their economic self-sufficiency. We hire people who are customer focused, caring, bright, committed to the greater good with an extremely strong desire to help those in need. This position is responsible for administering SNAP E&T in Wyoming and building relationships with businesses within our communities. You will be responsible for working with participants to develop their confidence and work toward their employment goals so that they can improve their income and self-reliance. You will work to help develop a dynamic team of businesses, non-profits and ESGW staff across the state to ensure participants have the skills and tools necessary to obtain employment. You will be responsible for coaching participants through challenges they face before and after they obtain employment. You will assist participants with outlining their skills via resume and cover letter development as well as interview preparation and job skills training. You will be responsible for working with and documenting your work with participants to ensure they are successful in their new jobs as well as to coach them on career advancement opportunities. We are customer-focused with the goal of sustainable income for participants. This position requires superior customer service skills, the ability to effectively handle competing priorities, provide positive reinforcement to a wide variety of participants with varying skill level, as well as creativity and belief in the mission of ESGW.
