***This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to a $1000.*** MC: Nutritional Services Core - (Full-Time, Variable Shift) - Our mission is to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ. The Nutritional Services Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring that food and supplies entering the Loma Linda System do not present a hazard to anyone coming in contact with them. Responsible for accurately checking in orders from different vendors. Responsible for putting supplies in proper storage locations while rotating stock. Responsible for filling all requested stock orders sent from Nutritional Services and other departments. Performs duties according to policies and procedures provided by management. Performs other duties as needed. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum one year of experience working with and managing food inventory preferred. Minimum six months of experience using a forklift, drive picker and/or power pallet jack preferred. ServSafe Certification required. Valid Driver's License required at time of hire and must maintain a clean driving record. Ability to effectively drive van or truck for transport. Able to write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position. Ability to operate equipment and coordinate body movements to keep pace with the work. Ability to communicate in English by phone, etc., with customers/patients/staff; demonstrate excellent oral/writing skills and excellent listening skills; working as a team player to achieve LLUMC and departmental goals, ability to have other cooperate or follow a specific course of action, relate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English, in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision.
