Technical Account Manager

The Opportunity:

As a Technical Customer Growth Manager, you will lead pre-sale expansion and mission enablement across our U.S. defense and national security customers. This role will drive platform adoption, unlock new use cases, and ensure our technical solutions align with mission-critical outcomes. You'll leverage your deep technical fluency, customer empathy, and a clear understanding of the federal defense ecosystem, particularly in AI/ML, data platforms, or cloud-native systems. This position is located in Mclean, VA.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the trusted technical advisor to DoD customers, translating platform capabilities into mission value.

  • Identify and execute, pre-sell, upsell, cross-sell, and renewal strategies based on evolving program needs and user behavior.

  • Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and solutioning sessions with uniformed personnel, program managers, and technical stakeholders, to ensure adherence to client standards for cyber security and platform deployment pipelines.

  • Develop tailored success plans to accelerate onboarding, adoption, and measurable mission outcomes.

  • Partner with product technical leads, serving the federated TAMs, to coordinate customer technical knowledge sharing and issues.

  • Monitor usage patterns, telemetry, and system logs to identify opportunities for deeper integration or feature adoption.

  • Deliver quarterly mission enablement reviews and readiness assessments.

  • Collaborate with internal product, engineering, and field operations teams to resolve technical blockers and influence product direction.

  • Ensure all technical engagements align with ATO, FedRAMP, and other compliance standards.

  • Coordinate with security and compliance teams to navigate classification, data sovereignty, and access control requirements.

  • Support proposal development and contract modifications with technical content and scoping.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles within federal or defense programs such as Solutions Architect, Forward-Deployed Engineer, or Customer Success Engineer

  • Experience with secure cloud environments, such as AWS GovCloud or IL5/6, AI/ML platforms, data pipelines, or C4ISR systems

  • Ability to brief both program leads and technical operators

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working with the Department of Defense, intelligence community, or federal civilian agencies

  • Experience with programs using JAIC, JADC2, Zero Trust, or ABMS-aligned technologies

  • Experience with tools such as Palantir, Databricks, Snowflake, Kubernetes, or DoD mission data stacks

  • Knowledge of STIGs, RMF, DevSecOps, or classified system accreditation

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including storytelling skills

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
