 We are now hiring a skilled and safety-conscious Railcar Repair Technician who also holds a valid CDL license. This dual-role position will be responsible for performing railcar inspections, maintenance, and repairs while also operating the company work truck to transport equipment and materials to job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and compliance.    Pay Range: Starting at $26.00 per hour with opportunity for advancement
   
   
   Job Duties & Responsibilities: 
    Job Qualifications:
 Perform railcar inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs in compliance with AAR, ARS, and customer quality standardsInterpret work orders, blueprints, and schematics to complete required repair tasksUtilize mechanical skills and tools to weld, cut, grind, and perform structural/mechanical railcar repairsEnsure accurate completion of company work orders, inspection forms, and required documentationDrive and operate the company work truck to transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sitesConduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer; report deficiencies as requiredSafely secure loads, follow DOT regulations, and operate vehicles in compliance with all traffic and safety lawsMonitor, report, and communicate any delays, hazards, or incidents to managementFollow all Environmental Health & Safety policies and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentIdentify material or equipment needs and notify supervision to support job completionPerform other duties as assigned to support repair operations and transportation needs

 Valid Class A or B CDL Driver's License (ability to obtain TWIC Card preferred)Ability to pass DOT physical, hair follicle drug screen, and background checkMinimum 2 years of CDL driving experience with a safe driving recordMechanical aptitude with experience in welding, cutting, and railcar or heavy equipment repair preferredAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work ordersMust be 21 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.Previous military or industrial experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
