What you'll do:

As a Project Coordinator in the Preferred Banking Division you'll play a vital role in aiding the successful execution of enterprise projects to realize enterprise goals and objectives. You'll work closely with Preferred Banking project managers to develop detailed project plans and related documents. You'll be responsible for planning and monitoring the progress of projects throughout their life cycles, working with the project managers and key stakeholders to help determine and document project scope, create work schedules, and evaluate resource capacity. You'll aid the project managers to coordinate tasks and track the completion of scheduled tasks and activities to prevent delays. You'll be exposed to a wide variety of enterprise projects and will build a strong working knowledge of project management and successful delivery techniques.

Selected active duty US military members will perform in highly skilled roles prior to transitioning out of the military while on active duty to bridge the gap between valuable military service and civilian work experience through specific industry training with an industry partner during final 6 months of active duty service

  • Maintain, monitor, and update project schedules, ensuring all tasks are assigned and completed on time. Communicate updates and escalate to project manager when needed.
  • Support the project managers by ensuring key project artifacts are correct and kept for review and presentation. Includes collecting and storing key governance artifacts for phase gate reviews. Document meeting notes, summarize and distribute to project team.
  • Track and report resource allocations and availability to leadership. Includes confirming hours logged by business and technology resources.
  • Monitor, document, and track the status of issues and risk mitigation activities against their target completion dates under the supervision of the project/program manager.

What you'll need:

  • 2+ years of related experience in Project Management or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Entry level knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services preferred.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Entry level to intermediate experience working on project-based teams required.
  • Entry level to intermediate experience in project management software and tools (Workfront).
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of project management and IT software development methodologies (Waterfall/SDLC) preferred.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Project Management Professional preferred.
