The Field Business Intelligence Team plays a meaningful role in measuring the health and success of our company's distribution system through reporting, data analytics and insights to tell a story with data using sophisticated techniques and visualization. This role provides expert level quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to stakeholders that drive business decisions and address insightful questions. In the role of Sr. Data Analyst with Esri experience, you will be key in analyzing spatial data to support decision-making processes across various projects. You will utilize your expertise in Esri's ArcGIS software suite to manage, analyze, and visualize geographic data. Your insights will help us optimize operations and improve strategic planning. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and analyze spatial and non-spatial data using Esri ArcGIS software and other analytical tools; create and maintain GIS databases to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Develop maps and visualizations to communicate data insights to stakeholders; collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS data with other business datasets
- Provides quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers to drive business decisions and address business questions
- Utilize analytics and metrics to enhance processes and deliver data-driven forecasts, reports, and dashboards that impact business decisions, such as costs and risks, while effectively telling a story through data
- Delivers results, insights and recommendations (written, verbal, presentations, etc.) to business audience, including department leaders and business clients, to support business decisions
- Produce actionable reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems
- Takes & applies design direction. Applies data visualization best practices to work deliverables
- Seeks to understand business process, user tasks, and as necessary, captures refined process documents
- Implement best practices, methodologies, standards and processes and share across teams. Occasionally contribute to the development there of.
- Takes initiatives to design and develop deliverables based on interpretation of findings and business client needs on a wide range of analytical topics
- Provides consultation to business clients and may participate in cross-functional teams to address business issues
- Identifies & captures business requirements, develops KPI frameworks
- Regularly applies new perspectives, creative problem solving, and inter-departmental connections to improve analytical capabilities
- Embraces continuous learning, curiosity, and ambiguity
- This is a hybrid role base out of the Milwaukee office
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, GIS, Data Science or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in research and data analysis, applying statistical techniques and developing reports or applications to support business decisions, ideally with a focus on GIS
- Expertise in development and application of analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, MS Excel, R, Python or other tool
- Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS software suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and related extensions
- Visualization tooling like PowerBI or Tableau
- Ability to access, gather, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources to drive insights into business problems, decisions, and performance
- Ability to articulate this knowledge as an expert at the department level and may be called on to provide insight at the enterprise level to provide detailed analysis
Compensation Range:
$69,720.00
Pay Range - End: $129,480.00
