We are a global team of innovators and pioneers dedicated to shaping the future of observability. At New Relic, we build an intelligent platform that empowers companies to thrive in an AI-first world by giving them unparalleled insight into their complex systems. As we continue to expand our global footprint, we're looking for passionate people to join our mission. If you're ready to help the world's best companies optimize their digital applications, we invite you to explore a career with us!

Your Opportunity:
Are you looking for a role where you won't get lost in the numbers? Join a "small but mighty" team where your contribution is immediately visible and highly valued. Reporting directly to the Director of Technical Accounting alongside two other dedicated peers, you will have the autonomy to make decisions and the support of a close-knit group.

This position offers the best of both worlds: a hybrid working model that allows you to balance productivity with personal time, and a role defined by variety rather than routine. We are looking for a thoughtful architect of processes to champion operational excellence. If you thrive on complex problem-solving and want to be a key player in a lean, high-performing team, this is your platform to drive genuine change.

What You'll Do:

  • Champion Operational Excellence: You will drive cross-functional initiatives, gathering information to analyse and recommend vital improvements to our accounting systems, policies, and processes.
  • Lead the Learning Framework: You will spearhead the enablement of the accounting team by developing playbooks and delivering technical training to the wider Finance group-helping your colleagues get better at what they do.
  • Manage Strategic Projects: From system implementations to researching complex non-standard transactions, you will manage high-impact projects in collaboration with FP&A, Legal, and HR.
  • Elevate Process Documentation: You will take ownership of refining and improving our existing accounting process documentation to ensure scalability.
  • Support Critical Reporting: While your focus is on special projects, you will assist with specific month-end analytics and reporting, keeping your technical skills sharp.

This Role Requires:

  • Professional Qualification: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, accompanied by a CPA licence.
  • Relevant Experience: Over 5 years of related experience, ideally combining a background in Big 4 public accounting with industry practice.
  • Technical Knowledge: A moderate to strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to present complex information clearly, both in writing and verbally.
  • Tech Savvy: Strong proficiency with MS Excel and the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets).
  • Autonomy & Agility: You are highly organised and comfortable prioritising tasks with minimal oversight, thinking critically to solve problems under time constraints.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience using NetSuite.
  • Previous work experience within a professional IT services company or a SaaS software provider.

Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
