About The Position The Supervising Engineer (SE), Distribution Operating Technical Services role is to provide direction and develop relationships across different internal and external departments to provide safe, reliable electric service. This includes support to overall operations of the distribution system and leadership to further Ameren Missouri's grid management technologies of the future. The Supervising Engineer is required to build trust by partnering, collaborating, and leading a team of diverse stakeholders engaged in distribution activities while driving results with respect to oversight of safety programs, conforming to policies, job quality standards and operational budget responsibilities. Moreover, the SE is expected to align roles, functions and assignments with individual capabilities, development goals and company objectives all to drive strategy execution and customer reliability. Key responsibilities include:
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college required. Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred. Five or more years of engineering experience in electric distribution operations or related experience is required. Experience in areas such as Substation, System Relay, Underground, or Overhead is preferred. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities while consistently creating a quality work product; Must be capable of using independent judgment and the ability to work through ambiguity; Ability to adapt to change is critical; Must possess good organization, prioritization, decision making, communication, and human relation skills; Proficiency with MS Office Suite; Knowledge of specific Ameren applications (e.g., ADMS, OAS, etc.); Demonstrated R&D Skills is preferred; and Ameren competencies. Position will require on-call (after hours and weekend) responsibility. Additional Information Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. Compensation Range: $128,700.00 - $199,500.00At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
