Position Details:

As the Senior Data Analyst, you will analyze data derived from brain image processing pipelines alongside a range of other sensors and multi-modal methods, including cognitive assessments (both paper-and-pencil and digitized formats), surveys, electrophysiology (EEG), physiological measures (e.g., heart rate, respiration, electrodermal activity, electromyography), and behavioral assessments (eye-tracking, actigraphy). You will chiefly be responsible for the creation of analyses, the publication of scripts, and the contribution of experiments to scientific projects.

Reporting to the Director, DAIR Center, this is a full-time, exempt and hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote) position.

You Will:

  • General-purpose programming an data analysis support for scientific and clinical projects, with a particular focus on brain image processing, handling, digital data organization, data visualization, and multimodal data analysis.
  • Perform organization and aggregation of large datasets using high-performance computing infrastructures.
  • Contribute to effective, scalable, well-documented code that is suitable for high performance computing ecosystems and shared to GitHub, or equivalent, repositories for version control.
  • Apply both pre-trained and custom-made machine learning models and data manipulation pipelines to research and clinical contexts, ensuring the responsible handling of sensitive data.
  • Help with scientific literature review, attend and present at meetings, and contribute to peer-reviewed manuscript submissions for publication.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with privacy regulations.

You Have:

  • Master's in Neuroscience, Psychology, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis and data science fundamentals (e.g., algorithms, data structures, data visualization, machine learning). Experience can be concurrent with education.
  • 4+ years of experience in at least one scientific programming language (e.g., Python/R, Matlab) and related toolboxes or frameworks (e.g., Tidyverse, Scipy, Sklearn, Polars, Pytorch) is required. Experience can be concurrent with education.
  • 3+ years experience in the collection and/or analysis of mental health-related data modalities, such as MRI, EEG, physiological measures, eye-tracking, developing computer-based tasks, or ecological assessments. Experience can be concurrent with education.
  • 3+ year of experience working in a Linux environment, using version control systems (e.g., GitHub), and software virtualization platforms (e.g., Docker). Experience can be concurrent with education.

Pay Range

The salary range for the position is posted. Factors such as candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range. In addition, this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
