Job description
Position Purpose:
The Contract Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and managing contracts to ensure compliance with policies, legal requirements, and service delivery standards. A key component includes developing accurate and competitive pricing for new and existing jobs to support revenue goals and sustainability. The role also oversees contract billing, ensuring invoices are accurate and timely. This position acts as a bridge between business development, operations, and finance, aligning contracts, pricing, and billing functions with organizational strategy and financial health. Primary Duties: *Review, interpret, and analyze contract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with company policies, legal standards, and business capabilities. *Identify risks, ambiguities, or nonstandard terms and recommend revisions or mitigation strategies. *Collaborate with legal counsel and leadership during negotiations of new and renewed contracts. *Develop detailed pricing models for new bids, proposals, and job opportunities, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead. *Perform cost analysis and profitability forecasting for new and existing contracts. *Collaborate with operations and finance teams to ensure pricing reflects realistic resource needs, productivity, and compliance requirements. *Maintain and update standardized pricing templates and rate schedules. *Participate in market research to benchmark pricing and remain competitive. *Review contracts to identify billable components and invoicing requirements. *Coordinate with finance and operations to ensure accurate and timely billing in accordance with contract terms. *Track deliverables, milestones, and service periods to ensure billing accuracy. *Prepare and submit invoices to customers, funders, or contracting agencies; follow up on outstanding payments as needed. *Maintain supporting documentation for all invoicing activity for audit and compliance purposes. *Monitor contractual performance and flag potential compliance issues, billing discrepancies, or revenue risks. *Ensure compliance with government regulations, grant requirements, and internal policies. *Support audit preparation and internal reviews related to contract and billing functions. *Maintain detailed and organized records of all contract documents, amendments, pricing models, and billing activity. *Produce reports on contract status, revenue projections, billing cycles, and outstanding issues. *Contribute to monthly and quarterly financial reviews with operations and finance teams. *Collaborate with internal teams to provide guidance on pricing strategies, contract obligations, and billing protocols. *Serve as a liaison with clients, funders, vendors, and regulatory agencies on contract and invoicing matters. *Assist with the development of responses to RFPs, RFQs, and grant applications as needed. *Develops working relationships with area businesses. *Perform other duties as assigned. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Legal Studies, or related field required. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract analysis, pricing development, or billing within a business or nonprofit setting. Preferred: Government contracts, grants, or Medicaid-funded services experience. Requirements: *Valid state driver's license. *Satisfactory driving record per VersAbility Resources' criteria Environmental: Primarily office-based with occasional travel for meetings/site visits. May require: *Standing or walking for extended periods. *Lifting up to 50 lbs. *Bending, stretching, or reaching as needed. *Extended hours during pricing deadlines, proposal submissions, or contract transitions.
