The opportunity

As Associate Dean, Artificial Intelligence (Associate Dean) you will be a full-time member of university staff and primary subject matter expert for Artificial Intelligence and other assigned programs within Southern New Hampshire University's online Global Campus (GC). You will implement operational level project work and program projects to ensure overall product health. You will identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and programmatic innovation while ensuring the success of daily academic programs operations. You will report to a Senior Associate Dean, online Product Health.

What you'll do:

  • Promote learner success and quality within Artificial Intelligence and designated programs, courses, and content through data-informed decisions.
  • Maintain successful programs and curriculum through oversight, ensuring efficient curriculum delivery and curriculum relevancy.
  • Assure the achievement of important institutional and programmatic benchmarks and performance indicators with analytical support and discipline.
  • Collaborate with instructional and curriculum design teams to ensure learning theory and best practices are applied to program and course development.
  • Help design new learning models that are flexible and scalable to support the needs of tomorrow's learners and address important issues such as affordability, access, and speed to completion.
  • Ensure that assigned programs meet programmatic and institutional accreditation standards and institutional policies and governance requirements.
  • Create an environment that promotes connection, community, and collaboration between faculty to strengthen the quality of curriculum delivery for each respective program area.
  • Conduct environmental scanning and research in collaboration with internal and external partners to identify trends and inform actions to increase programmatic success.
  • Support improvements in processes to increase automation, improve data and reporting, ability to grow, reduce cost, and better support collaboration between partners.
  • Participate in professional development activities that support professional growth and the development of a national presence within the discipline area specifically and higher education generally.

What we're looking for:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, IT or related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Artificial Intelligence.
  • Two years of current industry experience in AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science, including current programming experience in Python, Java, and C++.
  • Two years of experience working in higher education administration.
  • Experience in the successful administration of online degree programs.
  • Knowledge of environmental forces within the higher education environment and within assigned portfolio.
  • Understanding of the foundations of learning science and drivers of student success.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $83,071.00 - $132,940.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $91,794.00 - $124,192.00.
