Safety Case Specialist

Position Summary: Responsible for facilitating the injury case management process. This position will work closely with and support the Safety Case Manager, other safety team members, and medical professionals to uphold our commitment to providing the best care available for employees.

• Provide guidance to safety professionals and field staff on how to best manage injuries to a successful conclusion
• Create and maintain injury case management files including weekly case management report, injured employee files and other required documentation
• Collaborate with the site safety team, project team, medical personnel, leadership, and the Safety Case Manager to receive updates on injured employees
• Collaborate with workers compensation representatives as needed to successfully manage open cases
• Order, inventory, and track first aid supplies and 3rd party medical equipment for company work locations
• Occasionally travel as needed for training and other case management processes
• Other duties as assigned

• Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the Company's Zero Injury principles
• Able to effectively interact and communicate with craft employees, staff employees, workers comp representatives, medical professionals, and doctors
• Knowledge of company injury management processes
• Attention to detail * Excellent time-management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in safety, medical or related field; or Associates degree and 3 years' experience in case management or related field
• Experience in safety, construction or related field preferred

Working Environment:

• When visiting jobsites, the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
• This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
