MAJOR FUNCTION

Responsible for order processing and production order schedule.

Print, review, and release sales orders to production and shipping departments. Plan production orders and support CS department with expected ship dates.

Assist with picking and shipping function in warehouse when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

IMPORTANCE

45% - Order Processor

  • Print and review all sales orders to determine if inventory is in stock and what department to release the order to. Distribute in stock sales orders to Production or Shipping Department after review. Release back orders after receipt of inventory.
  • Runs Shortage Reports to write production orders for machine and parts
  • Runs Active Production order to facilitate old manufacturing orders
  • Generate outbound for demo orders for DSM's and marketing trade shows.
  • Coordinates with Purchasing and Accounting departments

25% - Production Coordinator

  • Log new orders on production schedule and adjust expected delivery dates on existing orders.
  • Log Pro number on production schedule for all truck shipments.
  • Determine delivery dates for production parts needed to complete production orders.

15% - Inventory control

  • Adjust inventory levels and transfer stock between warehouses.
  • Perform monthly cycle counts of machine inventory and process cycle count orders.

15% - Other Duties

  • Process sales drop shipments from certain suppliers.
  • Creates CSA sales orders for Canadian shipments. Processes the export documents for Canadian sales orders and sends the information to our Canadian CSA contractor.
  • Reconciles unissued inventory in production orders and transfers or adjusts to correct.
  • Backup for purchasing department.
  • Pick/pack & ship small products and spare parts orders via FedEx/UPS small package systems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning

KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Basic knowledge of production planning
  • Basic knowledge of purchasing
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office functions (Word, PowerPoint), other Internet and development software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems with a preference for experience with SAP.

Pay Range $19.57-$26.11 per hour.

The estimated range indicates the expected hourly pay for this position. It does not include potential bonus incentives such annual or performance bonus' as well as sales and sales related incentives, or overtime. The actual pay offered may vary based on several factors, including the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, unique skills, education level, certifications or licenses, differentials, and the location from which they will work. The final pay determination will comply with state or local minimum wage laws applicable to the job's location. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
