Job Summary:

As a Project Manager II within our Professional Services team, you will play a pivotal role in managing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) implementation projects from initiation to go-live. You will work closely with public-sector clients, cross-functional teams, and project sponsors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope (quality deliverables and customer experience), and within budget. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on project management experience in a dynamic environment, with an emphasis on communication, task coordination, budget ownership, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage scopes, timelines, budgets, and deliverables for multiple customers to ensure a timely and successful deployment of OpenGov's SaaS products.

  • Organize and deliver a portfolio of multiple projects spanning six to nine months.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on day-to-day project matters, ensuring clear and consistent communication.

  • Report on key delivery metrics such as project completion status, project budget health, and risks to customer adoption of the solution.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including technical support, product, professional services, and customer success teams, to align implementation efforts.

  • Assist in resolving project issues and escalating risks to senior management or clients when necessary.

  • Participate in the sales process and statement of work creation as needed.

  • Occasionally travel to customer sites to conduct training and solidify customer relationships.

  • Assist in enhancing our methodology of project delivery for our growing set of solutions.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:
  • Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience.

    • Minimum of 2 years of project management or related experience in a SaaS environment.

    • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines.

    • Familiarity with software implementation processes and lifecycle management.

    • Problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

    • Technical aptitude and proficiency with Professional Services and CRM tools.

    • Strong aptitude for technology tools and solutions.

    • Strong initiative, innovative thinking skills, and ability to analyze details and translate into the "big picture" view.

    • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing product and respond strategically to customer needs.

  • Preferred:

    • Experience in software implementation, IT project management, or related roles.

    • PMP or CAPM certification, or willingness to obtain within 12 months.

    • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.

    • Experience working in a client-facing role.

    • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Rocketlane, Jira).

    • Experience with government budgeting concepts and practices and/or finance/budgeting solutions.

$75k - $100k

On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.

The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
