This position is a temporary position responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Voter Services Team in the Election Division for the Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder's Office. The position is mainly responsible for answering incoming phone calls from voters, processing mail, and voter registration data entry. Hours and duration of assignment may vary.

Duties
-
The following duty statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and do not include other non essential or marginal duties that may be required. The County reserves the right to modify or change the duties or essential functions of the job at any time.
- Provide phone support to voters
- Provide clerical and administrative support
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- Process data entry tasks for Colorado's SCORE voter registration database
- Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Exceptional customer service
- Motivated to learn the Colorado elections process and associated software programs
- Working knowledge of current technology and collaboration tools (Microsoft Office, Teams, etc...)
- Effective verbal and written communication
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to multi-task calmly, and adapt to changing environments.
- Ability to adhere to a dependable schedule, which may include overtime or weekends.

Requirements

EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least one year customer service
- At least one year data entry experience ideal
- Previous Elections experience ideal
Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job may be considered.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must successfully pass pre-employment background check.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
- Receives immediate supervision from the Registration Lead and may receive supervision from other Elections employees, such as the Voter Services Manager or Deputy Director of Elections.

- Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The following are some of the physical demands commonly associated with this position.
- No unusual physical demands are associated with this position.
- Spends 70% of the time sitting and 30% of the time either standing or walking.
- Occasionally lifts, carries, pulls or pushes up to 20 pounds.
- Uses cart, dolly, or other equipment to carry in excess of 25 pounds.
- Occasionally climbs, stoops, kneels, balances, reaches, crawls and crouches.
- Verbal and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication through automated devices such as telephones.
- Constant use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of automated office machinery or equipment.
Definitions:
Occasionally: Activity exists less than 1/3 of the time.
Frequently: Activity exists between 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.
Constantly: Activity exists more than 2/3 of the time.
