Recovery Operations Manager

As part of the Subrogation Division, the Team Operations Manager in the subrogation pod structure oversees the operational efficiency and performance of the pod ensuring the team meets its goals for productivity, quality and recovery outcomes. This role involves managing processes, resources and cross-functional collaboration to optimize the subrogation workflow.

What you'll do



  • Act as the primary liaison between the pod and other departments, such as Finance and Client Success ensuring seamless communication and collaboration
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of pod members ensuring the meet individual and team goals by reviewing performance metrics and trend analysis
  • Establish clear, measurable goals for the pod aligned with company objectives
  • Ensure proper staffing, workload distribution and resource availability for efficient operations.
  • Design and implement workflows to streamline the subrogation process, reducing bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Identify and integrate new areas of automation to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Regularly review and update processes to improve recovery rates and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the pod adheres to organizational policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
  • Identify low performers in a timely manner and bring those individuals to the attention of the Director, Team Operations. Work with the Human Resources Department and the Team Leaders to put in place corrective plans of action and/or Performance Improvement Plans
  • Communicate and coordinate any disciplinary issues with Director and People Operations
  • Exhibit positive energy as an example to staff in their efforts to meet goals and embrace change
  • Perform other Special Project and functions as may be required from time to time at the discretion of management.



Role Requirements

What experience you bring



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in the health insurance, legal, property casualty or related fields.
  • Strong training, coaching, mentoring and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of file handling experience with strong operational performance and demonstrated quality in files handled.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Possesses excellent skills in verbal and written communication.
  • Must maintain confidential information.
  • Demonstrates integrity and honesty in all aspects of job performance.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor in all communications.
