Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000

Position Summary
Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University is seeking a full-time Technical Support Specialist Assistant to support the Design and Illustration Department. Knowledge of all aspects of studio management is necessary. Management, organizational, and record-keeping skills are required. The Technical Support Specialist Assistant is responsible for developing systems to support software applications and hardware installations. The Technical Support Specialist Assistant will be expected to work in coordination with the Curriculum Coordinators, Department Chairs, Program Heads, Senior Facility Manager, and faculty. All applicants must be willing and able to work with other disciplines and staff as needed. The successful candidate must be able to stay current with technology, tools, and techniques appropriate to the needs of the studio and learn new skills, as necessary. All interested applicants must provide evidence of competence in the areas listed below.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* Associate's degree
* At least one (1) year of directly related experience.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Experience
* Familiarity with emerging tech and 3D printing.
* Experience in training/mentoring students.
* Experience working in a Higher Education environment.

Required Skills and Abilities
* Demonstrated ability in studio equipment and knowledge.
* General understanding of professional studio standards and how to perform basic studio maintenance.
* General mechanical aptitude and ability to assess and solve problems.
* Experience in various design focused software for VR devices.
* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
* Knowledge of Blender for 3D modeling and rendering.
* Microsoft Office Suite proficiency for administrative tasks and inventory tracking.
* Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
