ATI is actively seeking a transformational leader to serve as Senior Director, Digital Technology Infrastructure. This executive will architect and drive a global infrastructure vision that enables innovation, unlocks productivity, and powers our transition from legacy on-premise systems to agile, cloud-first, and secure digital platforms.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned change agent with deep technical fluency, outstanding leadership acumen, and a proven record of transforming infrastructure and operational technology (OT) ecosystems in complex, industrial environments.

This is not an operational maintenance role-it is a strategic leadership opportunity to redefine how a global manufacturing enterprise leverages infrastructure to accelerate growth, resilience, and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Infrastructure Strategy & Execution
Define and lead the global infrastructure strategy-spanning cloud migration, SaaS enablement, productivity platforms, network design, and OT modernization. While transforming, assess the current risks and employ ITIL and Continuous Improvement methods to improve the resiliency of the current state.
  • Cloud & Modern Workplace Transformation
Spearhead ATI's shift to hybrid and cloud-native architectures (preferably Microsoft Azure and Office 365), optimizing end-user experiences while enhancing scalability, cyber security, and speed to value.
  • OT and Critical Infrastructure Integration
Champion the modernization of plant-level and OT infrastructure-bridging the unique requirements of industrial systems with modern digital and security standards.
  • Cross-Functional Business Partnering
Serve as a trusted advisor and service provider to business unit digital leaders, aligning infrastructure priorities with enterprise-wide objectives.
  • Cybersecurity Collaboration
Work in close partnership with the CISO to ensure infrastructure transformation initiatives meet or exceed regulatory, compliance, and risk mitigation standards.
  • Vendor & Partner Management
Oversee outsourcing partners, SLAs, and vendor negotiations-ensuring delivery excellence, cost optimization, and alignment with long-term architectural direction.
  • Leadership & Organizational Impact
Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, instilling a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Executive-Level Influence
Represent DT Infrastructure on the Digital Technologies leadership team; influence enterprise technology strategy, policy development, and board-level alignment.

Required Background

  • Minimum 15 years in enterprise IT, including substantial experience in executive roles with transformational mandates.
  • Demonstrated success modernizing infrastructure in industrial or asset-heavy sectors such as manufacturing, utilities, or defense.
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure services, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), and IT/OT convergence.
  • Extensive leadership experience with multi-vendor, multi-geography delivery models, including outsourced/managed service environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, or Business; advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience in regulated industries or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Proven success navigating cultural change and leading through complexity in matrixed, global organizations.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure, ITIL, TOGAF, CISSP) are a plus.

Leadership Attributes

  • Visionary Communicator: Able to translate complex infrastructure concepts into compelling, strategic narratives.
  • Execution-Driven: Comfortable rolling up sleeves to unblock progress; tenacious about outcomes.
  • Change Champion: Skilled in driving adoption, overcoming resistance, and building enterprise-wide alignment.
  • People Leader: Invested in talent development, coaching, and creating high-trust, empowered teams.
  • Credible Influencer: Capable of building trusted relationships across executive stakeholders, board members, and business units.

Why This Role Matters

ATI's strategic pivot to a digitally enabled, data-driven future hinges on the strength of its infrastructure backbone. This leader will have a once-in-a-career opportunity to architect that backbone-driving real business value, improving frontline productivity, and redefining how IT enables growth.
