Responsibilities

Job Description

As the Quality/Risk Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

    Proactively identify, assess, and monitor program risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Develop, document, and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure project stability and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Create, maintain, and update risk management artifacts, including comprehensive risk management plans and detailed status reports.
  • Lead and facilitate risk working group meetings, ensuring thorough communication, timely handling, and resolution of identified risks.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, actionable risk management reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams and leadership to align risk management efforts with quality assurance and control best practices.
  • Lead and support all major quality activities, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout service delivery.


Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum 11 years of progressive experience in risk management, quality assurance, or quality control, ideally in a service-based environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity, Computer Science (CS), Information Systems (IS), Data Science, or Software Engineering. Equivalent DoD/Military training may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Holds a valid CSSP (Cybersecurity Service Provider) certification (in accordance with DoD 8140 requirements).
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk identification, assessment, tracking, and mitigation planning.
  • Experience in conducting and leading risk management meetings and producing detailed reports for varied audiences.
  • Strong, effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey risk context and relevance to a broad set of stakeholders.
  • Significant experience leading and supporting quality assurance and control activities in a dynamic, service-based environment.


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $113,400.00/Yr. - USD $189,300.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
