The Opportunity

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated mid-level Software Developer to play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our enterprise web solution. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive automated test suites that validate UI functionality, performance, and user experience across diverse client configurations.
• The work involves design, development, implementation, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and test cases for Astrion's web applications in a mission-critical environment. You'll ensure our solutions maintain the highest standards of quality while scaling to serve a wider audience with varied needs and requirements.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive automated testing solutions by actively contributing to a dynamic Agile Scrum team, embracing test-driven development and continuous quality improvement practices.
• Astrion's high-energy, quick-moving environment encourages speed and efficiency while maintaining rigorous testing standards, comprehensive coverage, and reliable automation frameworks.
• As a self-starter, you'll leverage your experience to rapidly adopt new testing tools and methodologies, making informed decisions to implement robust, maintainable automated test solutions that ensure the reliability of secure, industry-standard web applications across Astrion's unique operational space.

Essential and Required Skills (high-level of proficiency):

• Test Automation Frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or similar
• Programming Languages: Python (required), JavaScript, Java
• Testing Frameworks: PyTest, Jest, TestNG, Robot Framework
• Web Technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js
• API Testing: REST/SOAP API testing, Postman, requests library
• CI/CD Integration: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions
• Version Control: Git, branching strategies for test code
• Database Testing: SQL queries for test data validation, MongoDB
• Cross-browser Testing: BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar platforms
• Performance Testing: Basic load testing with tools like JMeter
• Bug Tracking: JIRA, test case management tools
• Operating Systems: Windows, Linux environments
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working within Scrum/Agile teams

Highly Desired Skills:

• Advanced Testing: Visual regression testing, accessibility testing
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure for test infrastructure
• Container Testing: Docker, Kubernetes testing environments
• Test Data Management: Test data generation and management tools
• Reporting: Advanced test reporting and metrics dashboards
• Security Testing: OWASP testing principles, security scan integration
• AI/ML Testing: Experience testing AI-powered features

Minimum Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in software testing with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a solid foundation in software quality assurance and test automation
• Strong Python programming experience for test automation development, including experience with Python testing libraries and frameworks
• Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented, analytical thinkers, highly motivated, and comfortable working independently as well as in a team setting with strong problem-solving abilities
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies (unit, integration, system, acceptance testing)
• Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches, with emphasis on automation
