Responsibilities

Peraton requires Problem & Modernization Managers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM.

This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

Reporting to the Service Modernization and Automation Lead, the Problem & Modernization Manager leads complex Problem Investigations (PBIs) and contributes to enterprise-wide modernization efforts.

    Lead cradle-to-grave Problem Investigations (PBIs), coordinating technical personnel, process engineers, and matrixed operations teams to resolve systemic issues and restore service integrity.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned PBIs, ensuring timely resolution, stakeholder alignment, and documentation for governance and audit readiness.
  • Support service modernization efforts by identifying recurring issues, feeding insights into modernization pipelines, and flexing across initiatives as needed.
  • Aligns ITSM governance, RMF compliance, and ServiceNow automation strategies
  • Conduct root cause analysis and trend assessments to proactively identify and mitigate service disruptions.
  • Collaborate with Service Modernization Managers (SMMs) to ensure seamless integration of problem resolution and modernization strategies.
  • Manage schedules, milestones, and technical exchange meetings to drive coordinated execution across enterprise teams, HQ elements, Component Commands, and TSOCs.
  • Ensure all problem resolution efforts align with ITSM policies, RMF requirements, and enterprise mission objectives.
  • Track performance metrics, report progress, and contribute to continuous improvement across the service portfolio.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Min 9 years with HS degree, 7years with AS/AA degree, 5 years with BS/BA, 3 years with MS/MA
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience managing complex investigations and service transformation efforts within enterprise IT environments
  • Strong understanding of service lifecycle management, root cause analysis, and workflow optimization
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based service operations and transition practices

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading complex Problem Investigations (PBIs) within enterprise IT environments
  • Experience with ServiceNow workflow automation and reporting
  • Familiarity with RMF, ATO processes, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
  • ITIL v4 certification
  • Domain-specific expertise in Cyber, Network, Cloud, Virtualization, or Core IT services
  • PMP or PgMP certification

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
