Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Specialist, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. The Continuous Improvement Specialist will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will perform Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) functions in support of multiple TOS and Government organizations. These activities include using Lean Six Sigma and other CPI techniques and methodologies to analyze processes, metrics, data, and risks to determine CPI opportunities, leading facilitation of CPI events, reporting progress to associated leadership, and assisting the CPI Branch Manager in execution of the CPI program at AEDC (and its related GSUs).

Job Duties:

    Lead and facilitate cross-functional and cross-organizational teams (TOS) in the execution of multiple simultaneous CPI efforts using Lean Six Sigma and other CPI techniques, methodologies, and tools to consensus and action
    • Scope, plan, select the appropriate CPI approaches to effectively facilitate CPI efforts
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define scope, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for CPI efforts
    • Monitor, track, and report on the progress of CPI efforts using data analysis and relevant software, ensuring objectives are met within established timelines and budget constraints
    • Identify and address barriers to change and implement solutions to overcome resistance and ensure successful adoption of new processes
    • Communicate and share CPI effort's results and opportunities with TOS leadership
  • Stay informed about industry-wide best practices and emerging trends in CPI-related techniques, methodologies and technologies
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School degree with 8-10 years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant experience.
  • Active NACI clearance (or higher-level security clearance) and access to the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Six Sigma or Lean training or certification(s)
  • Facilitation and/or training skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with individual contributors, functional management, senior leadership and the AEDC customer
  • Microsoft Office tool proficiency
