Tactile Medical is sitting on a goldmine of data, and the Manager, Data and Reporting plays a pivotal role in unlocking its value. This leader guides a team of reporting professionals to deliver trusted, actionable insights that drive business growth. Acting as a connector between technical teams and business stakeholders, the Manager ensures reporting solutions are aligned with strategic priorities, technically sound, and effectively distributed and organized across key internal customers. This role is responsible for leading the development, delivery, and education of reporting products based on business and technical requirements. The Manager fosters a culture of continuous improvement, personal development, and collaboration, ensuring the team is empowered to meet evolving business needs. This role partners closely with data governance leaders to ensure alignment with enterprise data policies, standards, and stewardship practices.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of reporting professionals, fostering growth in technical skills, business acumen, and career progression.
- Set clear goals and expectations, provide regular feedback, and support professional development plans.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
Reporting Strategy & Delivery
- Translate business and technical requirements into reporting solutions that are accurate, scalable, and user-friendly.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI.
- Ensure reporting products are aligned with business priorities and deliver measurable value.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Serve as the primary liaison between the reporting team and business stakeholders, ensuring clarity of needs and expectations.
- Facilitate intake, prioritization, and communication of reporting requests and initiatives.
- Present reporting outcomes and insights to stakeholders at all levels, tailoring messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.
Technical & Governance Alignment
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and governance leaders to ensure reporting solutions adhere to enterprise standards for data quality, security, and metadata.
- Embed governance practices into reporting workflows, including lineage, stewardship, and compliance checkpoints.
- Support integration of reporting tools with broader data infrastructure and analytics platforms.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, analytics, or information systems.
- 6+ Years of experience working with data and reporting functions.
- Demonstrated progressive leadership experience including leading data or reporting teams, with a strong track record of delivering impactful reporting solutions.
- Deep understanding of reporting tools (e.g., Power BI), data visualization best practices, and business intelligence concepts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across technical and business teams.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments and translating complex requirements into actionable deliverables.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and enterprise data management practices.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).

Below is the starting salary range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.
$100,500 - $150,675
