As a Social Worker 1, your primary role involves delivering a comprehensive array of professional social work services, support, and interventions tailored to the needs of the facility's residents. This position requires active engagement with residents, their representatives, and clients to effectively provide and coordinate essential social services. In this capacity, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and administering social work, counseling, and case management services aimed at improving residents' social functioning. Your efforts will focus on facilitating their ability to achieve a more fulfilling social, economic, emotional, or physical adjustment, thereby enhancing their overall quality of life.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • May change based on operational needs.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in social work or social welfare.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
