Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for customer service, ticket sales and assisting patrons in all aspects of their interface with the Weinberg Center/New Spire Arts. Responsibilities include fielding and responding to all patron-related inquiries and concerns, processing of all ticket orders, lobby and telephone reception duties, and placement and presentation of current marketing and promotional materials in the entry and lobby areas. Additional responsibilities include generation of performance reports, maintenance of patron database, administrative support for the Box Office Manager, Front of House Coordinator, Development Manager, and Marketing Manager as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Responds to all patron inquiries and concerns related to ticketing and box office information. *Processes Ticket orders in person at the box office, via telephone, email, and the internet. *Processes all incoming telephone calls, and greets visitors, determining and directing them to the proper staff member and taking messages as necessary. *Updates and maintains patron master file database. *Organizes and maintains project files. *Follows procedures for daily facility opening and closing. *Checks box office inventory and replenishes supplies from stock. *Generates performance sales reports and box office reports. *Compiles and communicates all pertinent performance data to House Manager *Assists Marketing Manager and Development Manager as needed on promotional and fundraising projects. *Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: *High school diploma or equivalent. *Excellent customer service skills with two (2) years of customer service. *Two (2) years cash handling/accounts receivable experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS (Communication/Language; Mathematical; Computer; etc.): *Excellent organizational and communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) skills, especially dealing with a diverse patron base including those who are deaf, have mobility disabilities, or for whom English is not their first language. *Strong mathematical skills. *Knowledge and familiarity with computers including Microsoft Office Suite. *Ability to efficiently operate a multi-line phone system. *Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. *Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. *Ability to quickly adapt to change. *Ability to work varying hours as needed to accommodate production schedule which will include evenings and weekends.
OTHER DESIRABLES: *Familiarity with Spektrix or other ticketing software. *Previous box office ticketing experience. *Previous experience with databases. *Experience in and knowledge of the performing arts. *Experience with database management.

The incumbent must be able to maintain productive work level for long periods of time. The incumbent in this position must be able to work varying hours as needed to accommodate production schedule which will include evenings and weekends.
