Graduate Assistant - Study Abroad and Exchanges 24-25 (Graduate Assistant)

Although this position is labeled as "GF - Graduate Flat Pay," it is Hourly.

This position will be responsible for supporting all aspects of study abroad student exchange programs. It is a 20 hour per week assistantship.

Primary Responsibility: Study Abroad Coordinator
* Serve as study abroad advisor for options appointments, follow up appointments, walk-ins.
* Research academic options at various partner schools to present to UNCG faculty and departments
* Lead and conduct study abroad information sessions
* Planning and co-facilitating study abroad re-entry workshops and sessions
* Serve as primary point person for social media marketing and promotion
* Assist individual students one-on-one with issues or challenges faced with re-entry

Secondary Duties
* Assist with recruitment tables, displays, and classroom or virtual presentations
* Represent GEO at orientations, international fairs, etc.
* General office work- filing, answering phones etc.
* Data entry for incoming and outgoing students into GEO database and Banner (when applicable)
* Support for transfer of credit procedures

To be eligible for appointments as a graduate assistant, you must:
* Maintain academic good standing at all times (3.0).
* Be enrolled full-time, which is generally a minimum of 9 credits.
* Make satisfactory progress toward your degree as defined by your academic program and the Graduate School.
* Meet the requirements to be eligible for employment in the U.S.

(Preferred Qualifications)
* Familiarity with digital learning platforms
* Experience with virtual platforms
