Job Purpose

The Current Product Design Engineer is responsible for increasing customer satisfaction by resolving design issues affecting current production tractors. This includes the application of 7-stepproblem solving methodology to analyze data, determine root cause and implement solutions that improve warranty, improve manufacturing, reduce cost, or add features.

Key Responsibilities

* Work within a self-organizing, cross-functional team utilizing the Scrum methodology to drive projects to conclusion.
* Work with all cross-functional teams to align and increase communication
* Develop and support the execution of current product improvement plans consistent with meeting product line objectives and timelines.
* Develop designs, layouts, and drawings for current product maintenance and quality improvement, design and manufacturing issue resolution support.
* Identify and collect information pertinent to engineering calculations to analyze and resolve design problems. Analyze data and apply statistical problem-solving techniques to determine root cause.
* Create test requests and shop work orders, resolve field product integrity reports (PIR's), and track progress.
* Utilize appropriate engineering techniques and considerations of manufacturing processes and technology to produce innovative and cost-effective design solutions, considering applicable safety and environmental regulations and standards.
* Support timely manufacturing issue resolution through direct interaction with the plant and manufacturing personnel supporting Design for Manufacturability requirements.
* Work effectively with Supplier Quality/Manufacturing to ensure designs are efficient for manufacturing and able to meet quality requirements.
* Track costs of completed designs with Product Development Purchasing, and Product Cost Management teams.
* Create 3D models using Pro/E Creo, generate engineering drawings following company standards, and write engineering change orders.
* Map project critical path for overall program and each function's interaction with macro and micro plans so each functional team member can track and manage their specific tasks to stay on plan.
* Demonstrate company culture in daily actions (One Team)

Experience Required

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
* At least 3-5 years of experience in product design or mechanical design engineering using CAD tools (ProE/CREO) for part and assembly modeling
* Independent thinking and pro-activeness are required. Must handle several projects at the same time

Preferred Qualifications

* Experienced in Team Center
* Experienced in CREO CAD modeling
* Hands on experience with manufacturing support functions

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD$73,000.00 - $106,000.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
