Global Engineering Leader - Clutches and Brakes Division

Regal Rexnord's Industrial Powertrain Systems (IPS) segment is seeking an accomplished Global Engineering Leader - Clutches and Brakes Division to lead technical innovation, research & development, and engineering excellence within our Clutches & Brakes division. This strategic role is responsible for shaping engineering operations, ensuring product performance and reliability, and driving continuous improvement worldwide. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and provide global alignment while navigating local country requirements in Clutches & Brakes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Leadership: Set and execute an engineering strategy for product innovation and optimization to support division objectives in clutches and brakes for industrial and aerospace applications.

  • Responsible for a $650M global division with 250 engineers globally

  • Market leader providing highly engineered solutions to 200 OEMs placed into 10 different verticals in a low volume / high mix environment (ETOs business),

  • Responsibility to grow and expand our Engineering presence across our target Customers as the Preferred solution provider

  • Transformational leader able to rationalize the footprint into COE's while maintaining Customer service

  • Drive Innovation as a differentiator in the market place as well as product standardization through strategic product road maps and initiatives

  • New Product Development: Lead design, testing, and product engineering to enhance reliability, efficiency, and performance of industrial motion products and provide differentiation of products in the marketplace.

  • Product Design Execution and Management: Lead product design teams to execute Engineered-to-Order designs, support scheduled production and improve cost.

  • Global Team Management: Build, mentor, and manage engineering teams across multiple regions, ensuring collaboration across cultures and knowledge-sharing.

  • Technical Problem-Solving: Drive root cause analysis, quality improvements, and advanced engineering solutions to meet customer demands.

  • Industry Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs adhere to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.

  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with sales, manufacturing, supply chain, and product management teams to align engineering efforts with business goals.

  • Process & Efficiency Optimization: Accelerate centralization of engineering resources and development of functional support teams. Implement Lean Engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows.

  • Technology Integration: Leverage condition monitoring to enhance value proposition and adapt AI-driven design to enhance product innovation and production efficiency.

  • Budget & Resource Allocation: Oversee engineering budgets, CAPEX investments, and resource planning to maximize impact and scalability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience: 10+ years of engineering leadership experience, preferably in industrial powertrain systems, motion control, or related sectors.

  • Global Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and lead multinational engineering teams.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong analytical skills with a track record of driving technical solutions and innovation.

  • Effective Communication: Ability to engage with executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of clutches, brakes, and power transmission technologies.

  • Electro-mechanical and/or electronics experience

  • Experience working in OEM, industrial automation, or heavy machinery applications.

  • Familiarity with AI-driven engineering, smart manufacturing, or digital simulation tools.

  • Knowledge of international regulations impacting industrial motion systems.

  • Mergers & Acquisition and footprint rationalization experience
