Research Assistant

To assist with three contracts provided by the National Parks Service to conduct biological and geomorphological surveys of streams and ponds on the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Kansas. In addition, this position assists in analyzing data and writing a Management Plan for threatened species that occur on the preserve.

This position is On-site. To assist with three contracts provided by the National Parks Service to conduct biological and geomorphological surveys of streams and ponds on the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Kansas. In addition, this position assists in analyzing data and writing a Management Plan for threatened species that occur on the preserve.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires a bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. in ecology, wildlife management, conservation, or other related field
• Curatorial experience for wild mammals
• Experience conducting field work
• Data management experience

Additional licenses / registrations / certifications:

• Valid driver's license upon employment
