DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will provide general medical care to residents on assigned wards and wherever else needed, as well as act as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team. You will confer with residents, other physicians, courts, and other interested agencies regarding the condition, welfare, and progress of the residents. In doing so, you will make significant contributions to the development and execution of residents' entire care plan. Your duties will include performing comprehensive assessments and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting laboratory and other studies needed to arrive at accurate diagnoses, and instituting appropriate therapeutic measures. Additionally, you will prioritize work with input from nursing staff, so that critical care issues are handled promptly. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will participate in the on-call schedule for nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Overtime as needed
- This may change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience and/or training in the practice of medicine.
Special Requirements:
- You must have possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Medicine Board, or the State Osteopathic Medicine Board.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
