Automotive Mechanic - South Mountain Restoration Center

As an Automotive Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in keeping vehicles and equipment running smoothly and safely at the South Mountain Restoration Center. Your responsibilities will include performing both major and minor repairs on all types of vehicles and power equipment. You must also maintain a state inspection license to ensure that all vehicles comply with state inspection codes. In addition to these duties, you will be responsible for repairing transmissions, clutches, brakes, and other parts of automotive equipment, as well as checking alignment and performing minor body repairs. Furthermore, your expertise will extend to repairing and overhauling automobiles, trucks, tractors, air compressors, and generators.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
• Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or
• Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Special Requirement:

• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
