Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analyticalSales Compensation Analyst to join our Talent & Culture team. This role is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. The ideal candidate will use data-driven insights to ensure our compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and process monthly and quarterly sales commissions for energy sales teams, ensuring accuracy and compliance with plan documents
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Regulatory teams to design and model incentive plans that align with market dynamics and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and administer Sales Incentives through employee recognition platforms
  • Conduct audits and resolve discrepancies related to commission eligibility
  • Analyze internal and external compensation data to evaluate job roles and determine appropriate salary ranges and suggested pay mix
  • Conduct market pricing and benchmarking using compensation surveys and tools
  • Support the annual compensation review process, including merit increases and bonuses
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to provide compensation guidance for new hires, promotions, and internal transfers
  • Maintain and update compensation structures, job descriptions, and salary band
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate compensation trends and insights to leadership.
  • Participate in compensation-related projects such as pay equity analysis, incentive plan design, and job architecture reviews

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in Compensation management or Compensation analysis
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, SAP)
  • Familiarity with compensation survey tools (e.g., Radford, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn

Working Conditions:

  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as necessary, especially during critical issue resolution, to achieve project milestones and during compensation season
  • Position is currently remote but may require a day in the office from time to time for meetings or projects
  • Ability to sit at a computer for an extended period
  • Willingness to travel (up to 10%)

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of sales compensation structures, models, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, with strong emphasis in data analysis.
  • Understand client needs and can meet and exceed expectations.
  • Anticipate and accept changes in the organization and adapt to meet new requirements.
  • Willing to accept accountability for own decisions, performance, and behavior.

The base salary range for this position is: $70,000 - $90,000. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition the position may be eligible to participate in the benefits program which include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending accounts.
