GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Project Environmental Specialist 2 to be part of our Systems Planning Corporation (SPC), a subsidiary company of GAI Consultants, Inc. The Senior Project Environmental Specialist 2 will support our Power Generation Environmental Engineering Group working remotely, based out of our Homestead PA office. This candidate will be able to perform project planning, design, and permitting services for water resources and water and wastewater projects. General Characteristics



  • Assists Task Managers and Project Manager as needed on technical aspects of the project; recognized as having advanced knowledge within a specialized technical area, well-rounded in aspects ofconsulting and the industry.


Minimum Years of Experience



  • 18+ Years of Experience


Education



  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences orsimilar field of study


Technical Responsibilities



  • Possess specialized knowledge in theenvironmental sciences gained through advanced degree or extensive experience in the field, Coordination of project tasks; Reviews project documents; Carries out complex assignments requiring industry- current techniques or procedures; Agency and subconsultant interface; Focus on data analysis, interpretation, and review; Serves as a peer advisor withregards to area of specialization; mentors juniorstaff.


Management Responsibility



  • Supervision of technical studies within assigned tasks, can serve as task manager onmedium to large tasks requiring specialized technical expertise, maintaining GAI's procedures and protocols, assists with identifying and scoping technical studies required for projects.
  • Guidance and oversight from Project Managers and task managers in specific environmental areas.


Communication Skills



  • Possess effective oral and written communication skills; interacts well with other staff; interacts with Project and Task Managers and various Department Managerial Staff, interacts with clients on technical issues at regular project meetings.
