ANALYGENCE is seeking a Vetting Assistant to join our team supporting USAID. The Vetting Assistant will support USAID's partner vetting program. Working with the Vetting Support Unit (VSU) within the Office of Acquisition and Assistance, the Vetting Assistant will undertake assignments that support the formal vetting process for humanitarian programs. This position is responsible for receiving/coordinating personally identifiable information (PII) from implementing partner recipients and applicants for the purposes of vetting, responding to recipient and applicant questions about information to include on the Partner Information Form (PIF) or to enter in the Partner Vetting System (PVS) portal, and supporting the Vetting Official to ensure compliance with USAID policies on the vetting of humanitarian programs. The Vetting Assistant coordinates with relevant offices on related matters and conveys vetting determinations to existing or potential awardees and sub awardees. The Vetting Assistant supports the Vetting Official to engage with implementing partners for the vetting process. The Vetting Assistant reports to the Direct Hire Partner Vetting Lead.



  • Manage the vetting request process from receipt of PII through communication of final determinations, ensuring compliance with USAID policies, national security directives, and file disposition requirements.
  • Engage with implementing partners to address questions related to the Partner Information Form (PIF) and Partner Vetting System (PVS), guide them on required supporting documents, and make adjustments in PVS as needed.
  • Collect and review vetting data and forms for completeness and accuracy, track and submit requests to USAID's Office of Security (SEC), and coordinate on additional information needs.
  • Conduct PVS database checks to verify existing records, maintain an internal vetting filing system in compliance with sensitive and classified information protocols, and ensure privacy requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain data collection tools for monitoring and evaluation, generate status reports for analysis, and monitor outstanding queries.
  • Perform open-source research, including checks of the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List and UN Security designations, and conduct quality control on findings.
  • Test and report on PVS functionality, verify data accuracy, and recommend corrective actions and system improvements.
  • Provide organizational and logistical support for internal and external vetting trainings, assist with onboarding new staff, and participate in interagency, intra-agency, and partner meetings.
  • Support meetings with senior leadership on eligibility determinations and vetting policy implications, and help prepare related materials.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and quality control throughout the vetting process.
  • Develop a solid understanding of USAID vetting policies, authorities, and approaches.
  • Current Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in counterterrorism, investigations, compliance, or risk management. (High school diploma with 4 years of directly related experience will be considered)
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to multitask and work under deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, integrity, judgment, reliability, and ability to prioritize and follow up without prompting; strong oral and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; experience with data entry, information management, data analysis, and handling sensitive information; experience facilitating training a plus.
  • Proficient in Teams or similar workplace chat and videoconferencing tools.
